Power Rangers: 26-30
Oct. 30th, 2025 06:35 pmBeastMorphers (Seasons 26-27)
Beast Morphers is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I’m gonna be honest here. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love either. I think the problem is that everything I read was hyping as a sequel to RPM. Aside from mentions of Venjix, and a very brief (and very out of character) appearance from Dr. K? It really didn’t feel like one. At all. And that might have been why it left a sour taste in my mouth.
However, I will say that there are things to like about the series. I liked that most of the Rangers parents ended up getting involved in some form or fashion. Roxy and Blaze (both the doppelgangers and the real ones) were fun to watch.
I really liked Ravi and Nate. But one thing I will say is that sometimes the on screen chemistry didn’t feel…right? I’m not sure exactly where it went wrong. The pair that stood out to me wasn’t even a couple until very close to the end was Nate and Zoey. They were so cute, and I will say it’s one of the very few I predicted from Episode 1.
BeastMorphers may not be one of my favorite series, but I think in the end, it did grow on me a little.
Dino Fury/Cosmic Fury (28-30)
And now we’ve come to the end of the road. I will have some after thoughts in a minute.
Dino Fury was great. I loved watching the group grow into their powers. I loved that Zayto was the second alien to be a Red Ranger leader. (A lot of people say that TJ was the leader of in Space, but technically, Adros held that title).
My favorite parts of this series were the relationship between Javi and his sister Izzy, Izzy’s relationship with Fern (more on that in a minute) and Amelia and Ollie. I can’t say that I didn’t see Ollie and Amelia coming. I felt that from their first meeting. .
Izzy, I unfortunately had heard about. The Reddit is always talking about Izzy and Fern. And I can understand why. They were the first LGBTQA+ couple in the history of Power Rangers. It was really cool to see. I have always supported that community, and I was really happy that LGBTQA+ fans of the franchise got a chance to see their relationships represented on screen.
Equally exciting was the return of Billy Cranston to the franchise. I wonder if this meant that David Yost had made peace with the past indiscretions on the part of the former production team. I am very happy that I got to see him in a Power Rangers TV series again.
My main reason for being excited about Cosmic Fury was to see Heckyl. Heckyl was a large part of my love of Dino Charge’s later half and I am really glad I got to see him as a good guy. I like how he and Terrick could understand each other. I still love his one liners.
And that’s it. 3 and a half years. That’s how long it took me to finish this endeavor. Mom swore I was going to give up. But I didn’t. And I am so glad. They are still as healing as I always remembered them to be. And now I own most of my favorite series on digital *and* DVD.
I really want to thank you guys in particular those who had to put up with my consistent ramblings. Having characters added to RPs, and just general chatter about the franchise at large.
So what’s next you’re wondering? Well, in the midst my Power Rangers watch, I’d also started getting more into my Tokusatsu. Part of that was in honor of Fred and it still is. But now, I am doing it because I genuinely have found things to like about them, and no I am not talking about hot Asian guys (though that’s just an added bonus).
As you probably already know, I have branched out from Super Sentai and am now exploring the Kamen Rider franchise which I am very very much loving. I am so glad that lil bro (Jonathan) finally convinced me to try it. And that’s it guys. I hope to start updating more.
