Moving Day 3: Almost There!
Aug. 26th, 2016 06:17 pmSo today was supposed to be our closing date. Instead will be waiting until Money at the earliest, the 31st at the latest.
Mom and Daddy C went to a walk through this morning to make sure everything was kosher for moving in on Saturday. (The guy who we have the lease with is being really really nice and letting us move in ahead of closing date.) It went very well, and that's good. After the hell we've been going through, we deserved a goddamn win.
Excited to move tomorrow. I don't mind sharing with my parents, but I miss having my own space for a lot of reasons. I am excited about that, and finally having my own bed! Yes, I've had a futon, but that thing had stopped being comfortable 2 years ago, and for the last week, I'd been sleeping on a mattress topper. I've been spoiled by the two comfortable beds in the hotels for the last couple of nights. I'm glad I won't have to go back to a mattress topper tomorrow. Hahaha.
Also, Sandy pee'd on my hotel bed this morning. UGH. Bad kitty!
So that shit I mentioned early on was about Mom's HR person on THIS end not doing her job. Apparently, they do have the right paperwork now, and we should know a closing date by Monday, probably it will now be on Tuesday. At LEAST we've got a place to live....?
The great news, my ankle is finally feeling better. If I hadn't mentioned it here before, its because I haven't thought about it. I twisted it on Otakon Friday, and it never full healed before I twisted it again on Tuesday night before we left. -sigh-
Well, that's it. I won't be updating again for a while unless I get on my tablet. After tonight, we'll be without internet again unless I go to the community center. I'm not sure when we'll have all that hooked up again. I'll try and get a straight answer and post on Plurk.
