So I haven't been writing in any medium except fiction lately. But that's probably not good because I have a lot of things that have been building up for a while, and no amount of writing about it is going to fix it unless I am rich or not depending on SSI for money.

So in April, as you know, I went to California, and I had so much fun. I didn't really write much about it because honestly there was a lot to take in, and a lot to absorb. When I got home, I found myself in a state of constant depression and sadness because I didn't *want* to be here. Now I can relate to what Lexi and Marcia were going through when they'd come visit me in Baltimore.

May and June were subpar months at best, and I spent most of them in my room petting Sandy, sleeping, and sometimes going out with Daddy. I tried a couple of times to explain my ongoing battle with depression, and the lack of feeling like doing things since I'd been home, but you know Daddy C doesn't really believe that you can be taken down by mental illness. When he thinks of mental illness he thinks of people like Summer and my Aunt Kathy who aren't as high functioning as I am. I've pretty much given up on him ever understanding. Though every so often I try again, and he tries, when he's of the mind to do so.

July saw a reunion with my lesser brother, Chris. I call him my lesser brother because he and I really don't get along nearly as well as me and Daniel do. We've always had this rift between us because of my natural father. But! This visit was different. It was fun, and I got to meet my nieces, Raven and Rainey. They are two of the cutest little girls you will ever meet! Raven became my buddy right away while Rainey remained tentative about me the whole visit. Either way, it was great!

While Chris and his family were here, we went to John's Pass. And that is where I found my new babies, Riley and Kit. They are Land hermit crabs, and they really are so cute. Right away when I got them home, I went on a hunt to find out what I would need to make them long term pets instead of pets that died within a week of getting them.

And guess what, it's been a whole month, and they're still not dead. In fact, tomorrow, I will be getting a free set up from a guy who aids in Hermit Crab rescue and adoption. Then my babies will be out of their small critter keeper and into a fresh tank with moss, shells, proper food and water. :) Honestly these little guys have kept me sane, and patient with myself while I readjusted to being in an empty house after all of our visitors left. (We had a few days with Bonnie and her girls, too. Three days after I got my hermit crabs).

This coming Tuesday, going back to Coloring club to see some of my friends at the library. Have really missed them and can't wait to get back there. I just hadn't felt like it recently, but will definitely try and go again more regularly. I do miss it.

On the writing front, I've run back to the Robas for "comfort", and I'm okay with staying there for a while. I still wanna work on the Roba Chronicles project. I am not closer to finishing the first Victoria story than I was the last time I updated, though some things have happened.

I do have a better understanding of what happened to Marcia, and I'll be working on her novel next.

Anyway, this is just a few things that I needed to get out. I love you guys, and I'll try to update more often. :)

So I've been in California since the 22nd, and it 's been so much fun. So much has happened so I might have to take this slowly. So I'll start with the first day.

Saturday the 22nd:
I met Val at the airport! We went to the Flight Path museum from there. Flight Path was this cute museum on the LAX campus. It told the history of flight and the history of LAX. I thought it was pretty interesting. I met some nice ladies who were actually stewardesses back in the day.

Then we went to eat at In and Out burger! Apparently In and Out is a big Thing to do in California. The burger was good, but the fries weren't great. (Just a note: this is my opinion of the fries. Anyone else may say otherwise). The milkshake was awesome, too though!

Next it was time to meet/go get Lissa from Altadena! That was interesting because LA Traffic was kinda heavy, but it's not like i'm not used to traffic, coming form Baltimore. Val and I talked about what to do from there and that included going to BN, Hot Topic, and SUBWAY!

After visiting with Lissa's mom and stepfather, I got to meet the famous Darby and her chickens. Not a huge deal, but Darby actually looks like a gender-bent Sandy, so that was good. If I was going to get homesick for Sandy I could just visit/see Darby while I was out here. :)

We went to the Americana Mall, and went to Barnes and Noble where I bought two new books: Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige, and The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco. Also, I bought the Wizard of Oz soundtrack for Mom. (Much to my Amy Gumm muse's annoyance.)

Then we went to Hot Topic where I got my first Hufflepuff shirt, and some Hogwarts/ HufflePuff socks. I divvied up the socks to Lissa and Val and kept the Hufflepuff ones.

Finally got home, and passed out early because the time change. I was exhausted! Timezones, man.

Sunday was a mildly quiet day. We went to a car show on Colorado Blvd. Well, a Ferrari show. I'm not a HUGE car person as far as knowing specifications and all that, but I have to admit, there were some AWESOME cars there that I loved. I even got to have a conversation with my brother Chris which made it even more special.

We went to a restaurant called Islands for lunch/dinner. And I got my favorite, quesadillas! and something called a hula burger. I wound up only eating the quesadillas because I got full, but the Hula Burger I ate later.

And that was Sunday. My next entry we go to HOLLYWOOD
