Closer and Closer

We're getting closer and closer to the move. How do I know? Well, our freezer downstairs is completely empty, the bathroom decor has been removed, the kitchen is all but packed up... (because Daddy C doesn't realize you're supposed to pack the kitchen last!!!)
My room is all but packed up, too, except for a few things here and there. I still have a few drawers to go through. Like my desk drawers. I'm not looking forward to that, but it will probably be a good thing, honestly.
I did make a horrifying discovery, though. I accidentally gave up all my of Phantom of the Opera and Rent CDs. Luckily, I still have the digital copies that I made when I had everything on my old iPod. Everything is saved on my hard drive. I'm going to miss having the physical copies though. I know at least for Phantom of the Opera I am planning to buy all new copies of the CDs. I have to have them. That show was way too important to me. Might have to do the same for Rent, too. Everything else...eh. I'll get them again over time. Honestly, I've been moving away from CDs, but there are couple that I really want to get again. Everything else I'm pretty okay with just digital copies as long as they're available in full. Having a physical external hard drive for back up has really helped me make that transition. Fred was definitely right about that!!
I'm counting down the day till I get to see him on Friday. We are going Pokemon hunting down at the Inner Harbor. This way I might run into some of my friends who are going to be going to Otakon while we are not. I am also looking forward to taking last time pictures of all my favorite places at the Harbor. I'll be putting them in a scrapbook once I'm in Florida as a sort of, "end of chapter" type thing. Unfortunately there are some places that aren't there anymore. Marcia and I confirmed that when we went down there in April. So. I have to get pictures of:
The National Aquarium of Baltimore
The Science Center
Barnes and Noble
The ships (and the harbor in general, for that matter!)
The Convention Center
The Hilton
The Rennaisance
Days Inn
Its Sugar (inside and out)
and of course pictures of some of my friends. Lee, Jonathan (if we can drag him off the con property long enough)maybe I'll run into Jason, Cathy, Dave and Rafique...but most of all pics with Fred. I'll be taking my selfie stick for that day. There's an empty feeling in my gut as I'm thinking about how this is my last time down there and around some of my friends. Yeah, some of them I only see once a year, but its tradition. and I'm breaking it. -sigh-
